Tyrese is giving fans an intimate glimpse into the making of his upcoming single

In a video he shared on Tuesday, August 13, the R&B singer takes fans behind the scenes of the music video for his next song "Wildflower." Set in the 1970s, you can see Tyrese channel his inner Marvin Gaye by rocking a full-blown beard, a budding afro and a red cap. In one scene, the 45-year-old performs his rendition of New Birth's 1973 classic to a crowd while on "Soul Train" with a band behind him. He closes out the clip by teasing his upcoming album.

"Wildflower" is one of the most revealing tracks of Tyrese's career. The reimaged version of New Birth's timeless song was produced by Brandon "BAM" Hodge and David Foster. Tyrese dedicated his new single to his mother Priscilla Murray, who recently passed away. His forthcoming song will be featured on his seventh solo album Beautiful Pain.

Tyrese's new album allowed the singer-actor to explore personal themes of love, divorce, and personal growth. He aims to blend depression with elegance as he embraces the journey he's been on over the past two years. Fans will get to see how he managed to find solace in the darkest moments of his life.

The Fast & Furious actor shared scenes from his music video shortly after he sang the national anthem at the Los Angeles Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys preseason game. He even rocked a similar look from the music video during his performance.

Beautiful Pain arrives on August 30 and look out for "Wildflower" arriving this Friday.
